Bed & Breakfast
and Self-catering accommodation at
Bank House in
Bootle, the Southern Lake District...
At Bank House
our aim is to offer our guests the opportunity to take a break
from everyday life and relax in the peaceful surroundings. Bank
House was originally built in 1901, for the Lancaster Banking
company from local Waberthwaite granite. We are situated in the
southern corner of the Lake District National Park at the
edge of Bootle Station Village on the west coast of
Cumbria. Accessibility and quiet roads make this idyllic corner
of Cumbria special. There is plenty to see and visit in the
nearby area and in around thirty minutes you can be right in the
heart of Lakeland.
From Bank House
we have spectacular views of Black Combe and Bootle
Fell to the rear. Black Combe is one of the Lake District's
most southerly peaks. It has been claimed that fourteen counties
can be seen from the top on a clear day, and even on a less than
perfect Lakeland day the view is breathtaking. Black Combe
is easy accessible and numerous guides for a safe accent are
available.
Local amenities
include:- Train Station, one and a half miles to the local shop,
butchers, public house, restaurant, tea rooms and bakery. Plus
only one and a quarter miles from the extensive sands of Bootle
Beach.
At Bank House we
also provide Holistic Therapies, please take a look at
our extensive treatment options page. Take time to indulge
yourself.....
